- Census is taken weekly
- New cages and animals are recorded when they arrive
- Researchers that add or remove cages or animals should note it on the census sheet in the red binder in the room
- Cages in the same room can be charged to different billing strings
- This should be noted on the census sheet
- Cage cards should be color-coded or visually distinguishable
- If billing strings change it is the researchers responsibility to inform BRMS staff

* These species are assessed rates based on the number of cages or primary enclosures.
** Caging changed twice a week or more. All other species are changed per individual animal. Set-up charges are a one-time charge when animals arrive. Animals that are not housed, but used immediately from their delivery cages, are not charged this fee.
Animal transfers from one facility or room to another are not charged.
Special procedure or BRMS technician time is $31/hour charged in 15 minute increments. Special instructions can be placed in the room log book.
