Research Services

Biomedical Research Models Services (BRMS)  Research Service Core have skilled staff that can perform mouse and rat techniques for your studies. We provide this service in the Breeding Core facility or can travel to your lab to assist with your protocol approved procedures. We commonly breed mice for specific projects, perform studies inside the BRMS core facility, and deliver end point tissues or transfer live mice to labs after techniques are performed. We can work on small portions of studies or even provide longer/extensive techniques for longer term studies.

Breeding Core

The BRMS Breeding Core provides mice to over 100 research labs on campus totaling more than 25,000 mice.  Let us provide you with reliable, economical and efficient breeding colonies of mice to support research project needs.  As the mouse has become more common in biomedical research, so has the need for expertise in breeding these immunodeficient, and genetically modified mice.  This service will allow you to focus more on your research goals and less on animal care and colony management.

Our facility is specific pathogen free. All breeding is covered under our animal protocol.
